Water-to-Go and the Travel Industry

We are once again teaming up with Incredible Oceans to raise awareness about the damage caused by single-use plastic and offer a small solution to the Travel Industry.
Incredible Oceans are an organisation that uses the combined power of culture, science and charismatic marine life to grab hearts and minds and bring about a sea change in the way we relate to our oceans. Water-to-Go produces brandable, reusable water bottles that contain a unique 3-in-1 filter, able to provide clean safe drinking water from any non-salt water source. This means no customer will ever have to revert to single-use plastic bottles as a way of getting clean, safe drinking water.
Together we aim to fight back against the enormous amounts of single-use plastic ending up in our oceans every day.
Emerging Leader in Responsible Tourism
Water-to-Go has now been named an emerging leader in responsible tourism by WTM Responsible Tourism for the reduction of plastic waste. Having exhibited at WTM London for 2 years prior we are extremely pleased to be gaining recognition from the Responsible Tourism team, alongside our partners Explore who have also been named as an emerging leader in social responsibility.
We hope to enter the responsible tourism awards in the future for the water category and continue our commitment to responsible tourism and helping eradicate single-use plastic bottles.
Enter our Competition
This year we are giving away 50 FREE Water-to-Go 50cl bottles -worth £750- to one lucky travel company. Not only this, but we are also branding these bottles for the winner incorporating their organisation’s branding. (example pictured to the right)
After WTM has finished we will randomly select a winner from those who have entered. A preview of your branded bottle design will then be emailed to the winner before being approved and the 50 bottles are sent off. The bottles are then the winner’s to distribute as they please, whether it be to clients, staff or expedition leaders.

Water-to-Go’s CEO speaking at WTM 2019
Water-to-Go CEO, Dave Shanks, will be speaking on a panel of experts discussing issues around plastic waste and what can be done within the travel industry.
Moderated by Harold Goodwin, WTM’s Responsible Tourism Advisor, Dave will be joined on a panel of industry experts including Jo Hendrix of Travel Without Plastic, Andrea Nicholls (Co-founder of the Green Tourism Certification Programme), Colin James (CEO of The Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority) and others. The ‘Plastic Waste: What Should the Industry Do?’ event will discuss issues surrounding the world’s single-use plastic problem as well as how we can avoid creating waste plastic and what businesses can do to help local communities tackle this persistent and poisonous waste product.
