Water-to-Go Exhibiting at WTM 2019 alongside Incredible Oceans

For the third year in a row, Water-to-Go will be partnering Incredible Oceans
at World Travel Market London

From the 4th – 6th November, Water-to-Go will once again be exhibiting at the leading global event for the travel industry, World Travel Market London. We look forward to meeting with hundreds of organisations aiming to form partnerships and help promote sustainability within the Travel Industry. This year our stand will be situated in the Responsible Tourism Cafe (EU580) complete with 10-metre long inflatable orca suspended above, so you can’t miss us!

What’s Happening on our Stand this Year

As always we will be doing our filter demonstration, turning visually dirty, murky water into clear, clean and safe drinking water. And yes we will be drinking the water afterwards. You can see an example of our filter demonstration in the video below, but trust us it’s even more impressive in person! In addition to this, we will be running a new competition for travel companies this year in which they could win 50 free Water-to-Go bottles complete with their own branding. Simply pop down to the Responsible Tourism Cafe and talk to one of our friendly team about how your company could be in with a chance of winning 50 free bottles.

During the Show, We Are Running a Special 20% Discount Offer – Just Use the Code WTM20 at Checkout

Water-to-Go CEO Dave Shanks Speaking at World Travel Market

Away from our stand, Water-to-Go’s CEO and Founder, Dave Shanks, will be joining a panel of experts to discuss plastic pollution within the travel industry. Moderated by Harold Goodwin, WTM’s Responsible Tourism Advisor, Dave will be joined on a panel of industry experts including Jo Hendrix of Travel Without Plastic, Andrea Nicholls (Co-founder of the Green Tourism Certification Programme), Colin James (CEO of The Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority) and others. The ‘Plastic Waste: What Should the Industry Do?’ talk will discuss issues surrounding the world’s single-use plastic problem as well as how we can avoid creating waste plastic and what travel companies can do to help local communities tackle this persistent and poisonous waste product. The discussion will take place on Tuesday 5th November from 15:45 – 17:00 in the Middle East and Africa Inspiration Zone, and it promises to be a brilliant talk, well worth attending if you can fit it in.

Water-to-Go in partnership with Incredible Oceans

We are once again teaming up with Incredible Oceans to raise awareness about the damage caused by single-use plastic and offer a small solution to the Travel Industry. Incredible Oceans are a charity that aims to protect the world’s oceans from the many threats that they are faced with such as; climate change, overfishing and of course plastic pollution. They do this by combining the power of culture, science and charismatic marine life to grab hearts and minds and bring about a sea change in the way we relate to our oceans. Together we aim to fight back against the enormous amounts of single-use plastic ending up in our oceans every day.

Water-to-Go named Emerging Leader in Responsible Tourism

Prior to the show, Water-to-Go has been named an Emerging Leader in Responsible Tourism. Amongst other organisations, Water-to-Go was awarded this title in an article written by Harold Goodwin, World Travel Market’s Responsible Tourism Advisor. Having exhibited at WTM London for 2 years prior we are extremely pleased to be gaining recognition from the Responsible Tourism team, alongside our partners Explore who have also been named as an emerging leader in social responsibility. We hope to enter the responsible tourism awards in the future for the water category and continue our commitment to responsible tourism and helping eradicate single-use plastic bottles.

How Many Elephants at World Travel Market London

It was also a pleasant surprise for us to find that alongside Water-to-Go and Incredible Oceans, conservation campaign How Many Elephants will also be exhibiting at the Responsible Tourism Cafe. We are excited by this as How Many Elephants was founded by Water-to-Go ambassador and adventurer Holly Budge. How Many Elephants is a powerful design-led campaign, inspiring and educating a global audience about the devastating impacts of the African elephant ivory trade, communicating information such as the little known fact that 96 elephants are poached every day.
