Hunger Project Partnership

Water To Go are excited to announce our partnership with The Hunger Project.

The Hunger Project is a global, non-profit organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. Their vision is a world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity. Their mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world.

They have programs in more than 16,000 communities throughout Africa, South Asia and Latin America that seek to empower women and men living in rural villages to become the agents of their own development and make sustainable progress in overcoming hunger and poverty.

The Hunger Project and Water-To-Go are piloting an exciting partnership in Switzerland. The project will see Water To Go launch a limited edition bottle and for each sale, the equivalent of £20.00 will be donated to The Hunger Project (the bottle retails at £39.99). You can purchase the bottle and support the Hunger Project now on our website. The partnership will initially focus on the European market and will run through to December 31, 2017.

Our mission is to help enhance access to safe, healthy water anywhere in the world, while minimizing the waste that accumulates from the use of disposable plastic water bottles. Access to clean water is a critical part of The Hunger Project’s approach to ending worldwide hunger, as underlined by the Sustainable Development Goals provided by the United Nations (SDG 6.)

This new partnership with Water-to-Go demonstrates the opportunities that exist when shared values align between organisations. We want to help the Hunger Project achieve their long term goals and be a part of their journey to eliminate extreme hunger and poverty by 2030.

Water To Go have worked with charities and organisations in places such as Africa for projects like the Child Aid Project in Gambia in 2014. This work is something we are passionate about and are want to carry out in order to make a real change in underprivileged communities.

This picture from Child Aid 2014 perfectly shows the huge problem of plastic waste in the world but also the difference we are trying to make with reusable bottles that deliver clean, safe water for everyone.

There is a lot of support of this joint initiative from many different people and organisations and we are delighted with how the project is going so far. One person of note who is endorsing the project is Igor Ustinov; an internationally renowned artist and sculptor. Igor is working with affiliated organisations and projects worldwide which are dedicated to a common goal: to foster diversity and open-mindedness within society through prejudice awareness and creativity, to help children with immediate aid and to grant them access to education irrespective of their social or ethnic background.

“This partnership goes hand in hand with the Hunger Project strategies that address the problem of extreme poverty as a whole. Water is a central element in the situation of extreme poverty.

It is necessary to think about the means that can be developed for today’s and tomorrow’s humanity. This partnership brings together the bridge between the different durable solutions in favour of the end of hunger in the world. I am delighted that this partnership, which I have endorsed, has been successfully implemented by Stefan Spiridon, MD Water-to-Go Switzerland, Marie-Laure de Beausacq, Head of THP Suisse Romande, Alexandra Koch and the global team from The Hunger Project in New York and London.”

I fully support this Water-to-Go and The Hunger Project partnership, which will contribute to supporting our strategies in Africa, South Asia and Latin America for community-driven development.”

We are delighted to have his support and hope this will only increase the reach and backing of this life changing project.
