Have you got what it takes to be one of the first to take on Africa’s highest peaks?

13,000 metres. 14 days. 3 peaks. 1 pioneering mission…

If you’ve always wanted to climb Kilimanjaro but want to step off the beaten track, then this might be just the thing for you. We have partnered with Three Peaks Africa who run the ultimate adventure challenge brought to you deep from the heart of the African savannah.

Not only will you be ticking off one of the Seven Summits and tallest free-standing mountain in the world, Mt Kilimanjaro (5,895m), but by the time you stand on Uhuru Peak you will have already reached the giddy heights of Mt Meru (4,566m) and Mt Longido (2,637m). Often overshadowed by their big sister, these mountains provide travellers with the opportunity to step off the normal well-trodden trails. With large parts of Africa still largely untouched, the complete Three Peak trail will feature some of the most biodiverse and culturally distinctive places on Earth, and is famous for its abundance of wildlife: giraffes, buffalo, bushbuck, elephants, blue monkeys, to name just a few. All we can say is, don’t forget to bring your camera!

So whether you are an experienced adventurer, or just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to combine a safari and trekking into one amazing two-week challenge.

Three Peaks Africa’s ethos is to ensure that their operations are ethical and have a positive social impact to both the local community and environment. A key objective of the business will be to encourage the idea of “no waste” and is developing “kit recycling” programmes, whereby unwanted hiking kit can be recycled/resold to others with profits going to the local Tanzanian charities.

Their ‘no waste’ policy is one very close to our hearts here at Water-to-Go. We’re proud to be partnering with such an environmentally aware company who is looking to reduce the environmental impact from single-use plastic bottles on the mountains.

Expeditions will be running in January 2018 and June 2018. For more information, visit their website www.threepeaksafrica.com, follow them on facebook and Instagram @threepeaksafrica or drop them an email at info@threepeaksafrica.com.
