£5,000 raised for Child Aid Gambia

For the past 12 months, every ‘like’ that we’ve had on the Water-to-Go Facebook page we have turned into £1 and donated it to Child Aid Gambia. We’re pleased to announce that we have now reached our target and raised £5,000 for the charity!

The money raised is being used to fund water projects in The Gambia. The most recent project was building a pipeline and well for the Ndagan Settlement. This was a massive milestone as for the first time it gives the residents of Ndagan access to safe, clean drinking water. This will significantly reduce disease in the settlement, particularly among the children, and allow for much better health and sanitation.

Child Aid Gambia was set up in 2011 by Katy Roberts and her father Chris. They work predominantly with desperately poor children living in Gambia, who without their help struggle to survive! On their last visit they distributed Water-to-Go filter bottles to local residents. Gambia water

Chris from Child Aid Gambia wrote to us saying:

“We received the Water-to-Go bottles which we have brought with us and have been distributing them to the children and their families who are most in need.”

“I would like to thank you for all the help that you have given us which has proved invaluable and for your unwavering belief in the work that Katy and I are doing to help children in the Gambia.”

Keep your eyes peeled for more great work from this amazing charity. Please visit www.childaidgambia.org for more information.
